Medicare coverage information

Naturopathic physicians cannot bill Medicare directly. However, there are two scenarios in which patients covered by Medicare can receive coverage:

1. If you have secondary insurance from an insurance plan I am contracted with, I can bill them. This is sometimes included as a retirement benefit that carries over from your previous primary insurance.

2. If you have Medicare Advantage carried by an insurance company that I am contracted with, I can bill them. There are often a fixed number of visits covered per year, and a higher copay.

Supplemental insurance: I CANNOT take supplemental Medicare coverage, even if I am contracted with the insurance company (including Part G coverage)

If you are covered by Medicare and do not have secondary insurance or Medicare Advantage with an in-network plan, I am happy to work with you out-of-pocket at the rates above, and I recommend continuing to see your Medicare provider.
